Referral noun
re·fer·ral | \ ri-ˈfər-əl
1: the act, action, or an instance of referring
// gave the client a referral to a specialist
2: one that is referred

When seeking the services of a specialist, a reliable and credible referral is a valuable approach to choosing a service specialist. Whether you are by personal referral or random contact, I encourage you to consider key criteria and choose accordingly. The inspector you choose is as good as the home inspection you will receive.
How It All Began
I started my home inspection career in Loveland and surrounding Northern Colorado areas in 2002. It began when a neighbor asked me to use my geotechnical and engineering background to evaluate a home that he was interested in buying.
I was able to determine that the home had suffered considerable damages. Those were from a water heater leak that caused the home's expansive soil to lift the improperly finished basement and the overlying framed house off its foundation.
The fix-and-flip sellers had acquired the home from the bank as a foreclosure. Due to the excessive cost of repair over the value of the home, the sellers were trying to sell the house with some cosmetic repairs and had withheld disclosure of the home's structural defects. My neighbor was very grateful for the information.
In the process, I discovered my calling, and skills and knowledge to back my goals. I found satisfaction in helping someone with a major investment decision and an answer to my career transition.
